Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"Benefits are fabulous here at Mayfran! Health, Dental, Vision, Short and Long-Term disability, Life Insurance, On-site Gym, On-site health clinic, excellent 401K package and so much more! We have also been under new management since August of 2012. The changes in our leadership have been amazing!"
Former Employee - Belt Assembler says"I'm surprised to see the comments about lay-offs. Mayfran certainly went through its ups and downs in 2008-2009, but since then our business has been very steady."
Project Engineer says"Fortunately Mayfran has been under new ownership since August of 2012, and we have been able to resolve many of those bottle-neck issues. It is a very exciting place to be right now as we improve our technology and our work environment through excellent leadership. Sorry to hear that your experience with our annual picnic was not a positive one. Most of our employees really look forward to this event and we typically get a lot of great feedback."
WIREMAN AND MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER (Former Employee) says"As with any job there are people that gossip and start problems when lead by a boss that gossips. People don't work anymore, if you do you will get fired by the lies others put out."
Mechanical Assembly Worker (Former Employee) says"A lot of terrible and miserable people that work there. And bring bad attitudes to work. Extremely negative surrounding. I worked there 2 and a half years and It drained my energy. Cons: Too many to count"
Engineer (Former Employee) says"Focused in machine tool industry so background from that industry is preferred. They have an engineering mentality as this is the core of the company. Sales are like reps and marketing non existent. Cons: Weak management."
Assembler/Production (Former Employee) says"co-workers are great, but some supervisors, both in the shop and the office, are difficult to work with, safety meetings on a regular basis. Cons: health care is costly, new (shop) employees get little (paid) time off"
Draftsman / Mechanical Designer (Former Employee) says"Job could've been better had it not been for this "buddy" system. You work hard on projects but the ones tasked with checking ,looking at your work is purposely adding things to ensure the project goes over budget after checking it at the last possible moment to also ensure its behind schedule."
Builder assembler (Former Employee) says"Working there was great, the shop foremen were fair. Most employees were easy to get along with. There is a small group of employees that got special treatment and and instigate others and act innocent. And the HR department is the most corrupt I have ever seen. They talk bad about employees in front of other employees. HR there also vindictive and cruel. Be careful working there. Cons: HR department, a few garbage employees"
